Color Themes

Today I’m releasing two small-but-important improvements to SpinTheWheelOfNames - and they both bring us another step closer to building the best spinning wheel on the internet.

The first one is Color Themes. For a long time, people asked for a quick way to make their wheel look beautiful without spending time picking individual colors. Now you can start with one of dozens of carefully designed themes and instantly make the wheel look great. Once you choose a theme, you can still customize every color afterwards. It gives you a beautiful starting point and full control at the same time. I’ve been using it myself and it just feels good to click through the palette until I find something that “clicks”.

The second improvement might seem small, but it makes a huge difference when you use the wheel frequently or during a presentation: you can now spin the wheel by pressing the spacebar. No need to reach for the mouse. Just press space. It’s one of those things that seems obvious once you try it. It speeds things up and makes the experience smoother - especially on a big screen or when you’re running games, raffles, or classroom activities.

Both features came from real usage, feedback, and my own obsession with wanting the wheel to feel effortless and delightful. There’s more coming, but these two feel like a milestone: better visuals, faster interaction, and a wheel that’s simply fun to use.
